Wyboston canopy

Mark Carsley of Carsley Group recently came to Circle with a simple brief for their retail site at Wyboston on the A1: "Create an eye-catching design for the two canopies with the simple idea is that people will be able to remember the site as being the one with ??????? canopy!"

Having a blank canvas and an enlightened client wanting to offer customers something different from flat canopy norm we created a number of alternative designs that aimed to catch drivers attention from a distance. We offered solutions that modulate the height and elevational profile of the roof structure in order to create that 'stopping power' that is often lost with a flat canopy from a distance. We are pleased that the concept is now going through planning and due for construction in 2013.

Circle talk at international show

Circle Managing Director, Claire Livesey headed up a seminar on the Forecourt Trader stand at the International Forecourt and Fuel Equipment Show 2011. Focusing on what things will make the successful forecourts of the future, Claire talked about the importance of five key aspects: developing a brand that people feel warm about, providing a fresh and evolving food-to-go offer at all times of the day, having a responsible offer tailored to the local community and offering surprisingly good levels of service. Consolidation of the UK market gives great opportunities for new retailers to come through with a fresh proposition based around truly focusing on customer needs, Claire highlighted Circle’s belief that the market is ripe for change.
